AC K9 Training – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of services provided by AC K9 Training (“we,” “our,” or “us”), including Board & Train programs, Private Lessons, Consultations, and other training services. By enrolling your dog in our programs or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

AC K9 Training provides dog training services, including:

  • Board & Train Programs: 1-week, 2-week, or 3-week in-home programs, including obedience and behavioral training.

  • Private Lessons: Packages of 4 or 8 lessons, personalized to your dog’s needs.

  • Consultations: Paid assessments of your dog’s training needs, with consultation fees applicable to Board & Train enrollment.

All programs focus on balanced, humane training methods. Results may vary based on the dog, training consistency, and owner follow-through.

2. Enrollment & Payment

  • Full payment or deposit is required to reserve a spot in any Board & Train or Private Lesson program.

  • Consultation fees are $100 and may be applied to Board & Train program enrollment.

  • Payment methods accepted: [List accepted payment methods].

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Board & Train: Cancellations are allowed up to 1 month prior to the scheduled start date. Cancellations within 1 month may result in forfeiture of deposits or fees.

  • Private Lessons: Cancellations or reschedules require 24 hours notice. Late cancellations may result in forfeiture of the session.

  • Consultations: Same-day cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the consultation fee.

4. Vaccination & Health Requirements

  • All dogs must be up to date on required vaccinations, including Rabies, Distemper, and Leptospirosis, before participation in any program. Proof of vaccination is required.

  • Dogs must arrive in good health and free of contagious illness. Any known health or behavioral issues must be disclosed prior to enrollment.

5. Behavioral Disclosures

  • Owners must disclose any aggressive, reactive, or other behavioral issues.

  • AC K9 Training reserves the right to refuse service or terminate enrollment if undisclosed behaviors pose a risk to staff, dogs, or clients.

  • While obedience training is guaranteed for basic commands, behavior modification outcomes cannot be guaranteed, as progress depends on multiple factors.

6. Owner Responsibilities

  • Owners are responsible for maintaining and reinforcing training outside of sessions or programs.

  • Attendance at pickup lessons and active participation in training guidance is required for long-term success.

7. Use of Equipment

  • Certain programs may include training tools, including e-collars, prong collars which are properly introduced and conditioned during the program.

  • Owners must follow instructions on safe, appropriate use of any equipment provided.

8. Liability

  • Owners acknowledge that training dogs carries inherent risks. AC K9 Training is not liable for injuries, accidents, or unforeseen incidents involving dogs, owners, or third parties during training or on program premises.

  • Owners agree to hold AC K9 Training harmless from any claims arising from participation in services.

9. Refunds

  • Refunds are not guaranteed except at AC K9 Training’s discretion. Consultation fees may be applied to future programs if services are rescheduled with sufficient notice.

10. Privacy & Personal Information

  • AC K9 Training collects and stores personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By enrolling in our programs, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

11. Program Policies

  • Nightly Report Cards: Provided for Board & Train programs where applicable.

  • Sundays Off: Dogs in multi-week programs have a rest day on Sundays with no formal training.

  • Pickup Lessons: Owner lessons are included in Board & Train programs to ensure proper continuation of training at home.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which AC K9 Training operates. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with local regulations.

13. Changes to Terms

AC K9 Training reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website, and continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
